To Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Thomas Jacob Flitsch Architects P.C., Mr. Flitsch returned to a personal commitment he had when he opened his first firm in 1989: that youthful goal was to compete in a national or international competition each year. When Mr. Flitsch moved to California, studied and obtained his MBA, and started working for institutional investors, the projects he lead were entered into some competitions and garnered awards. When he returned to private practice in 2013, the pace of the work overshadowed his youthful goal, but now he has returned to the challenge of putting forth a competition entry.
Aligning Redevelopment and Senior Housing, Mr. Flitsch decided to enter in the Beyond Isolation – Senior Housing international competition. Not with any expectation to win, but the aim of presenting new ideas, Mr. Flitsch entered his project – “Reconnecting Seniors in a Multi-generational Environment.”
